Default Radical Rage: Starting TODAY!! - Marxist Mob Plans to Occupy Wall Street

I mentioned this planned event sometime back and today's the day.

The planned "U.S. Day of Rage" is supposed to inundate the NYC Wall St. area today. Their Twitter feed features a picture of Alexander Hamilton with black hair and a Hitler mustache. The founding father Congress honored in 1999 as “the man who more than any other designed the Government of the United States.” This is what the leftists who are planning the occupation of Wall St. think of the founding fathers and the American experiment.

The organizers claim this will be a "non-violent" protest, at the same time they're calling it "U.S. Day of Rage" apparently after the Days of Rage protests in Chicago in 1969 that featured 4 days of riots. Maybe that's why they've planned this for a Saturday? A very slow day at Wall St. We'll see, I guess

The event organizers are expecting around 20,000 radicals and union members to join the protests. This is only the beginning, as there are planned future "demonstrations"; with one a block away from the White House on Oct. 6th that organizers want to turn into what they say will be “our Tahrir Square, Cairo.”

This event is all tied up with the George Soros "Democracy Alliance", The Glaser Progress Foundation, The Tides Foundation and Acorn; along with the Chicago based "National People's Action" which laid out the "street strategy" for this event.

Former ACORN spokesman and coalition leader, David Swanson, said the supporters will “shut down offices, buildings, streets, hallways, to nonviolently, strictly nonviolently, resist what our government is doing.” Of course, it is unclear how the mighty U.S. government could be shut down without the use of violence.

Let’s hope we don’t find out.

Hey, what if they gave a liberal leftist protest and nobody showed up? Well, it happened in the city of New York and it makes me ever hopeful for the future.

People are starting to get it. Only 300 or so leftist protesters, mostly college students, showed up for an event that was designed to attract 20,000.

Very, very nice.

It not the libs I worry about, it the homeless middle class guy/gal who lost their home/job because of the fat cats on Wall Street and the interference of the Federal Government in Private Job growth. Once you create enough helpness and stop the government hand outs, because the government rans out of someone else's money, then is the time to start to worrying when crowds gather. Hungry hopeless homeless people don't care as they have nothing to lose.

Richie sounded almost sorry that a massive "liberal" tearing down of Wall Street did not happen.

I have seen some of those demonstrations outside the World Bank in Washington DC and it does make a mess of traffic jams, costs police overtime money, and also, costs the city loads of money for unlawful arrest lawsuits.

Be glad the demonstration did not happen. Saves a lot of time and money that can be well spent elsewhere.

HrpO1 and Village Golfer can sing their songs of yesteryear but I am glad when either right wing extremist or left wing extremist things do not go as planned.

I wouldn't say I was disappointed; I was just a bit surprised. With the violent demonstrations happening over in Europe, and the memory of the WTO riots in Seattle in '99, I figured the agitators would have little trouble in roiling the masses of disenfranchised that I've been hearing much about.

It seems that so far the efforts and money spent by all those leftist groups to goad a Wall St. "riot" have fizzled. Maybe there's not enough people who are blaming business for their troubles and that pleases me greatly.

I feel better and better the more I think about it. You can figure out why.

Katz's video of the mess left behind at President Obama's swearing in ceremony definitely shows mounds of trash - but this is not uncommon in Washington DC for major events. I did not go downtown that day. I knew there were going to be hundreds of thousands of people and the transportation would be a big problem - and it was a very cold January day!

At just about every major event such as Fourth of July, Memorial Day, Veterans Day, New Years Eve - there are mountains of trash that are picked up.

A very interesting sidenote to the mountains of trash - contractors bid with the city of Washington DC to pick it up. The contractors pay the city for picking up the trash and then sell the trash to recyclers. Washington DC actually makes money off of the deal - but the contractors make a whole lot of money by their reselling the trash.
