Default Live in RV

Anxious to move away from winter. Have not been able to sell home yet after 6 months. Has any of you lived in a motorhome until able to sell? At this time I thought that we could live near our son in West Palm Beach, then when we sell back home, buy in the Villages. What does everyone think? I still would want to work as a Nurse.

I think that is a great idea. We lived in our RV awhile before our closing at Recreation Plantation. There are some full timers at Recreation Plantation. They fill up in the winter so get your reservation. We loved it there. http://www.recreationplantation.com/

We wintered in a RV for 2 years, while I worked at TV hospital. Had no problems whatsoever living in the RV. We decided TV was for us, sold the RV after buying a house in TV. We stayed at Lake Deaton RV park the first year, Sandy Oaks the second.

We lived 7 months in our RV at Southern Oaks while we shopped for a home in The Villages. It gave us time to find the house that suited us best.

Lived in our RV thru 6 winters in FL. Went thru a 30 foot travel trailer and 2 motorhomes. Motorhomes are money pits and depreciate like a rock, so beware. Whatever type RV you buy you will likely never see that money again. That being said it was a great way to meet people and check out different areas. Best bang for the buck is a light travel trailer that you can pull with a half ton like an F-150.

Unless you already own an RV, you might want to consider renting in The Villages or someplace else until your home sells. A nice large motor home can cost much more than a new designer home in The Villages. We lived in a motor home for almost 10 years before we bought in The Villages. They most certainly are not an investment! Don't get me wrong, we loved our time full-timing and wouldn't trade that time for anything. In fact we upgraded our motor home late last year and still travel during the summer. It's a wonderful lifestyle and so is The Villages.

We lived in our RV, while looking for a home. We have lived in the RV as long as 8 months at a time while traveling.
You said you are a nurse, have you checked to see if you are licensed to work in Florida? If not it will take you a while to obtain a license here.

What seems to be the problem with the house? Get a different agent who will be honest with you about what you need to do to sell. above is right,Ii wouldn't buy an RV ---have seen year round and long term rentals.
