Arrow Looking for Cement Contractors

Hi,

Does anybody know of a good cement contractor at a reasonable price?
We need a slab poured in back of our lanai.

Thanks so much!

Try Robert Robey at 753-2462. He has an ad under "Concrete Services" in the paper. We've used him twice at home and once outside of TV with good results.

Wink

Robey put a pad in for me. Clean and done quickly. Price was right.
He also has done 7 others that I know. No problems.

I used Rob as well. His price was competitive and he did great work. When I called with concerns he addressed them the next day. Also called T & D which were extremely high.

Another post for Robey - just had our pad extended and he was quick, efficient and priced right.

The product is concrete, cement is the bonding agent in concrete. T&D has the best reputation in the Villages.

I need to widen a portion of the driveway to the golf cart garage to avoid backing onto the lawn every time I back out.

1. Does this require permission from the Architectural Committee?

2. Does this require county permits?

3. Does Robert handle these matters?

Thanks.

Must add to the Robert Robey Vote!!!!! Efficient, great work, and the right price! We had called three places for estimates... One was double the cost of Robert Robey's estimate, and the third person never even responded to our call. Robert Robey can answer all your questions efficiently. Give him a call!

You do need ARC permission. You do not need a permit. I do not know about your 3rd question, My neighbor & I did mine.

Default Cost

Just to give you an idea of cost, I recently got an estimate from Robert Robey for a concrete pad 11' 4 1/2" x 14' 9" and he was going to cap a sprinkler head, for $850.00.
Decided not to go the slab route and looking into alternatives because of the price.

Default Neighbors

If you can get neighbors to do a concrete project at the same time with the same contractor, you should get a better price. Concrete companies charge a "short load charge" for less than 5 yards of concrete. Extend a golf cart driveway is appox 2.75 yards. A full concrete truck is 9 yards. "Short load charge" is about $120. A yard of 3,000 PSI is about $100/yard. Fuel surcharge is $15-40 per load.
