Very strange to say the very least - and I mean that in every sense of the phrase.

Why not just say, "Good night, Gracie" and call it a night? Everyone would appreciate it.

A better link.

Rep. Allen West is an outstanding individual.

Quote:
West, who was elected in 2010, is a member of the House Tea Party Caucus and the only Republican member of the Congressional Black Caucus. He served more than 20 years in the U.S. Army and achieved the rank of lieutenant colonel before retiring in 2004.
Quote:
During an extensive interview with Newsmax.TV, the Florida Republican also:
Blames Washington for the nation’s economic problems.
Decries Obama’s “class warfare rhetoric.”
Insists that Attorney General Eric Holder should resign over the Operation Fast and Furious gunrunning scandal.
And says Obama should “dust off” his Nobel Peace Prize and return it, considering the military ventures he has advanced during his administration.

I wanted to see this in quote in case you deleted it. I think you need a time out.

Just say, "Good night, Gracie" - and I hope you do not get too many four putts tomorrow.

You could just have easily said "Rep. West is entitled to his point of view, but that's all it is, and it's no more valid than Pres. Obama's".

This way there would have been a discussion instead of the "egg throwing"

I don't know why some make this so hard.

I think that both of you need to GO TO YOUR ROOM and think about how you are acting. Its childish and trying to the rest of us. If you want to act childish do it in PMs so the rest of us don't have to see how immature you both really are.

Are you suggesting that Allen West knows more about MLK than MLK's Son and Daughter??:

Sometimes in an intellectual context, a little distance can lead to a greater focus. Emotions can cloud an issue.

I agree with you but, I just wonder if the fact that Allen West being a Tea Party Supporter isn't taking a wild swing at the Occupy Movement?

I think that anybody who lived in the 60's and seen these aimless bums protesting God knows what, would be horrified. There have been many interviews with these people and most have no clue. This so-called protest has been joined by some of the most Un-American groups out there. Communists, white-power, extreme left-wing flakes etc.

Allen West is the only person who says the King would not support the Occupy movement, the only person I repeat so lets ignore the other hundredes of close King friends including his son and daughter and listen only to West...makes perfect sense...wrong!

No right Wing flakes in the Tea Party Movement??? There are good and bad in both Movements, but they all have a right to their ideas.

Well, camera's don't lie and every time they scan the crowds of dirty wannabe hippies, they rarely see a black face. What makes anybody believe that MLK would join this anarchist mob?

My parents have both been gone for several years. I still run into people who were friends with them during my childhood. Those people know alot about Mom and Dad that I never realized, Including how they felt on numerous policital issues.
It doesn't surprise me one bit that Allen West may know alot about where MLK was coming from than MLK's kids would know.
