Default Auto mechanic...

Does anyone have a trustworthy automobile mechanic or place of service near The Villages? I thought I heard about one in Wildwood--but, I have forgotten the info..
Thanks,
Lynn

We've used Mike's Auto several times with good luck; his number is 365-2955.

I've used Accu-Tech Automotive on 301 just a couple of miles south of 466. The owner is Tim Mathieu and I've found him to be very honest and not very expensive. A lot of villagers use him. 352-748-1500

For me, it's Tri-County on 441 right by Lowe's. I thought the clutch was out in my Miata (about a $2K job since you have to remove the engine to replace it). They could have easily said they replaced the clutch and I would have paid the bill. Instead, they called and told me it was the slave plate for $250. Talk about honest (and they know their stuff)!

Lynn, are you thinking of Sumter Tire on 301? They are a few blocks north of 466A. Quite a few of us use them, they are not the most inexpensive, but they are very reliable, trustworthy and do excellent work. I've used them since I moved here 3 years ago. Many of my friends who are native to this area, also use them. I would highly recommend them.

I will agree with "red witch".

Tri-County is the most honest and capable outfit I have ever dealt with.

You will not be disappointed.

I'll second Sumter Tire. Very honest.
