Our sprinklers came on and when they shut off, the heads did not retract back to ground level. My husband touched one with his foot and it did retract. Any help out there? Thanks

I had that problem with a few of mine and the tech said the problem was sand and dirt. He cleaned them and they now work OK.

Our sprinkler guy said to spray the shaft with WD40 and it will work fine. One of our neighbors claims this is only a temporary fix. He says to get some silicone powder from Lowes or Home Depot. It will lubricate the shaft without letting sand and dirt stick.

Thanks Greg. Prolly won't hurt to clean them and then do the silicone powder.
