My husband is Marine Veteran want to know is there anywhere he can shoot his rifles. We just brought a home in the Villages closing Dec.28. Thanks to all that has answered I am new at this site but I know I am going to love it

YES...lotsa places within 30 miles of The Villages to shoot......

Closest is probably.....THE GUN SHOP ....aka.....Lake County Pistol and Rifle Range..... located less than six miles EAST of Buena Vista Blvd....ON the South side of State Route 44. http://www.gunrange.net ( or 3 miles West of US -27 and Main St in Leesburg......Main street becomes SR-44)....That is less than 12 miles from the Square at Lake Sumter Landing in The Villages. There are private club ranges in Tavares and Ocala. Public range in Ocala national Forest. Ask him come to the FNRA meeting for details.

What is the FNRA? I have a friend who's coming down in January for a visit and to look around again to maybe move here. He's an avid gun enthusiast and a certified weapons instructor who's run gun clubs up north.

He'll like to know about any gun club here in The Villages and it would help me to get this great friend and military veteran to consider The Villages as a new home.

Can you help me out?
