Default Physician Referrals in The Villages

We are new to The Villages this winter. I need to find a cardiologist for my 54 year old mentally-challenged sister who had a cardiac arrest 3 weeks ago. I'm looking for a good, personable, and patient physician for her.

Also, we need to find to find a good primary care practitioner.

We would appreciate any good referrals.

I highly recommend Florida Heart and Vascular Center, 1560 Santa Barbara Blvd, The Villages. 352-750-5000. They have several Dr's in the practice and are affiliated with the University of FL. I know Dr. Lew also teaches at Shand's. Good luck! Finding good Dr's are the most difficult thing about moving to a new area.

I also use Florida Heart and Vascular. It is a good practice but fairly large.

For primary care consider Delcare. Dr Delbakhsh (Dr Del) was a hospitalist for many years at The Villlages Hospital and he opened his own practice. He has a loyal following of folks who worked there. It is a small but personable practice. He has one partner who I also like.

Have several friends who swear by Dr. Lew.
