Thirty days for the registration and drivers license. You are very lucky to be closing on Dec 27th because you have to own the house on Jan 1 in order to qualify for homestead exemption in 2012. You have until March 31 to request it. In order to vote in the FL primary, you must register 29 days before the election which is January 31. Good luck

Correction: You have to apply for the homestead exemption by March 1 not March 31 as I stated previously. Sorry about that.

I was browsing the DMV site yesterday and noticed that you only have 10 days to register you vehicles after establsihing residency. Requirments can be found at the following two pages:

Registration - 10 days: http://www.flhsmv.gov/dhsmv/newflres.html

Drivers License - 30 days: http://www.dmvflorida.org/moving-to-florida.shtml
