Has anyone put a solar tube in a Cabot Cove kitchen/laundry? Where is the best place to put it?

We've got one in the kitchen of our Cabot Cove, installed by the previous/original owners. They had the opening take the place of one of the ceiling light fixtures and had a light add-on kit put into the tube. Thus it gives you what you want - daylight streaming into the kitchen via the solar tube - and also retains the use of the ceiling light. Plus it's one less thing on the ceiling of the kitchen!!

We have three solar tubes in our home. The Solar Guys basically chose the place in the rooms to install the tubes, though would have tried to put them where we might have wanted them placed. We trusted their opinion and experience. And, part of the placement depends on the location of supports in the attic. A year later, we are still happy with the locations.

We have two that were already installed by the first owner of our home. One in the kitchen and the other in the main bathroom. Very pleased with them. The advantage of buying a resale.
