Default Myasthenia Gravis

Our daughter, after just having been accepted to Harvard Law School,. has been tentatively diagnosed with Myasthenia Gravis. Do you or anyone you know have this disease? We've read everything online about it but would like to hear from real people as to how this might affect her future. Please tell us your experience. Thanks!

My father has had Myasthenia Gravis for many years. You can private message your phone number to me, and I will give you as many details that I can.

I was just diagnosed with myasthenia gravis last week. It's taken a while to figure it out, but finally a diagnosis. PM me if you have any questions.

Default Best Friend

My best friend and usher at my wedding had myasthenia gravis in 1959. They have made great strides with it over the years. There is a famous actress Ann Margaret who's husband has had it for many many years and is doing fine. Our thoughts are with you and know your child will do well.

As it turns out our daughter did not have Myasthenia Gravis but rather an inflammation of her brain. Her symptoms have currently gone away and she will re-visit the neurologist later this month to follow up.

I wish your daughter well. There are so many great non profit organizations that address specific issues ( I am an Executive Director of two myself). If I can ever be of help to anyone, you can Private Message me.

Default There is a medication

My mom had MG, she had symptoms for a long time but thankfully a Neurologist diagnosed it. He put her on a medication and it really helped. The dosage was such it needed to be taken every 4 hrs. 24/7.

It was critical that she be monitored for any remission of symptoms immediately so the dosage could be adjusted.

If you want to discuss you may reach me BARTSDSL@EMBARQMAIL.COM

MG is terrible disease and is actually quite rare - but there is help
