Default More proof of Republican leadership hypocrisy

The Republican leadership PROMISED that they would post all bills on their website at least 3 days before a vote so there would not be any more Pelosi obamacare type laws.. where first we have to pass it, then we can find out what is in it..
So what did these hypocrites do?
They broke their own rules on the raising the deficit bill.. and NOW..
they are going to try to pass a one TRILLION DOLLAR BUDGET bill tonight or tomorrow with no debate and no reasonable opportunity to know what is in it.
WHAT HAPPENED TO 3 DAYS.. HUH?
What ever you do.. whether you are democrat or republican... vote to remove the Republican leadership... Boehner, McConnell, and anyone who votes for this stealth debt bomb.
JJ
btw.. the way they intend to "pay for it" is by counting money not spent in the future on wars in Afghanistan and Iraq.. pays for it.
BOLOGNA.. Who the heck will believe that?
I was going to buy a gold mine by borrowing money from china.. but since I decided to buy a Cadillac instead with borrowed money from China.. it is paid for..
Ya right

How about we just vote out ALL of the leadership regardless of party affiliation?

I agree but the Dems did not PROMISE to cut the deficit and give me 3 days to read the bills to get my vote. Repubs promised 3 days and to do something about the budget.. they have done NOTHING except pass bills that pile on more debt, and then try to hide it.

it certainly is not unique to republicans...how about the health care back room deals? How many thousand pages not read by any of them? And my favorite, Nancy Pelosi's request to pass this bill so we can see what is in it!!!

Fact of life Joe is ....business as usual in Washington...has nothing to do with what party.

Didn't Obama promise bills would be posted before votes in his '08 campaign?

Didn't he promise the most open administration in U.S. History and instead give us the most closeted?

Default I'm Laughing Out Loud

I'm remembering what I said in response to some posters in this forum, back before the 2008 mid-term elections. Wait 'til the GOP regains control, they said. Then you'll some fiscal responsibility; then you'll see some regained control of spending.

I said, baloney...they're all self-serving spenders. It happens whichever party is in control. Yeah, yeah, I know the GOP has control of only the House. But it's not as if there haven't been plenty of chances to reach some agreement with the Democrats that would serve the good of the country. Remember the grand bargain? Remember acting so irresponsibly that it cost us a credit downgrade? Remember just yesterday a group of the most conservative Senators announcing that they intended to try to overturn the automatic spending cuts resultant from the failure of the super committee to reach any agreement?

Both parties defend their indefensible action...or inaction...based on ideological principles, or because they're trying to prevent the passage of any legislation that could be called a victory by their political opponents.

Nah, they're all the same. They're all self-serving. They're all on the payroll of one special interest or another. And they ALL ought to be replaced.

How do you tell when a politician is lying? His/her lips are moving!!!!!

but seriously both parties are just as guilty of not following through on their promises and transparency in gov't is something that sounds good on paper but will never happen.

Most politicians have no fear that they wont be reelected and really don't give a darn about you or I. It's time to impose voter controlled term limits, until politicians know fear they won't change.
