Default Donating Household Goods

Like all newcomers to The Villages we still have more stuff than we have room for. We have set aside some boxes for donation to a worthy cause but, we don't know where to take them. Any and all information will be greatly appreciated.

I know the Social Workers at The Villages VA clinic are always looking for household goods to support the Homeless veterans that they are working with.

Our Mother's Attic in Wildwood accepts everything but clothes. if you have large items they will come to collect them.
It is all volunteer and the proceeds go to the poor.

I work at a local animal sanctuary and we need gently used sheet, towels, blankets and small rugs.

The American Red Cross does monthly pickup of items throughout TV. They appreciate clothing, small appliances, etc. You can contact them to find out the dates for pickup for your village/area.

Default Another organization

This organization sells the goods and profits go to local needy families. They will be happy to pick items up or you can deliver to their store in Baylee Plaza on 441, close to where 42 intersects:

I recently had the same situation and checked all around. Some places would not pick up for at least 3 weeks out...I wanted to give the stuff away sooner.

The First Baptist church in Leesburg came over the same day I called them, were very professional and thankful and gave me a tax deductible receipt. They have a website.
