The light that sometimes finds its way into the dark recesses of government is getting brighter on the tragic "Fast and Furious" scandal and investigation. It is bright enough to prompt this cowardly response from Eric Holder, our Attorney General.

"This is a way to get at the president because of the way I can be identified with him," Holder said, according to the Times. "Both due to the nature of our relationship and, you know, the fact that we're both African-American." New York Times

This is the same Eric Holder who in 2009 said, "in things racial we have always been and I believe continue to be, in too many ways, essentially a nation of cowards". ABC News

Leaders step up to the plate and accept responsibility for their decisions and actions. They do the right thing. Mr. Holder....you are no leader.

A simple reading of those comments show he was referring to how he is identified with the president given their close relationship and all they share in common including their ideology.

According to the House committee investigation, a number of murders in Mexico (some published sources say that number could be over 200) are attributed to the weapons of the Holder Justice Department's "Fast and Furious" project. That number includes dedicated U.S. Border Patrol agent Brian Terry. Not a faceless statistic.....Brian Terry, a patriot serving his country and an American. In a cowardly defense of his role in "Fast and Furious", Holder attributed the intense backlash on him to his relationship to the President and because they are "both African-Americans".

Why is Holder interjecting race in the Fast and Furious tragedy? Fast and Furious is about guns and murder facilitated by Holder's Justice Department, not race.

Why is Holder not being held accountable for his own words?

Why is it necessary for the Justice Department propagands and spin machine to restate what Holder meant?

Why is Holder still the Attorney General?

one answer that seems to be consistent with regard to major issues that face this country is the government can count on the fickle, laid back, malaise, tolerance, permissive do nothing if it does not affect me....American public.

Modes operendi? Just wait a few days and there will be no reprisals.

In addition the government is overwhelmed with people with legal/lawyer backgrounds, hence they know exactly when to use the letter of the law, or when to abuse it or when to hide behind it and skate on the thin ice of legality/illegality.
