My husband just asked me if there was a GPS that would be able to tell him how to navigate the multi modal pathways. I thought there was a reference to something like that in an earlier post but can't find it. Anyone know of anything that would help?

None exist that I'm aware of or read about.

My Garmin Nuvi is four years old and doesn't have a "pedestrian" option that some of the newer models now offer. I wonder how this option would work with a golf car? Or does it only work in a large metropolitan city?

You can pick up a nice 8.5 x 11 paper map of the trails at the LSL Sales Center. It only took me about 2 years or so to learn it!!
![]() I ended up scanning it into a PDF since we went thru so many of them on our carts....just a thought. The best technique tho is just heading out and getting lost...seriously.

When I came for my lifestyle visit I too got lost and bought one of the handy dandy maps at the sales office. Come to find out the map did'nt help a bit and cost me 5 bucks. When I close on my house in January I'm going to do as Jazzper says and learn by getting lost and then maybe in 2 years I'll remember where I'm going

I have a Nuvi in my cart and it works fine. Most trails are adjacent to roads and it shows where you are and also serves as a speedometer. The unit was in another vehicle that I sold so I figured I would just put it in the cart.

Yes, there's no substitute for exploring and getting lost. It also helps if you're gifted with a good sense of direction. I suspect it's part of the inner ear, and you either have it or you don't.

I agree with the explore aspect. Until now we've only been snowflakes but I think I know almost every cart path (and even most of the shortcut paths) in TV. It doesn't take long and if you need help just stop and pull out a map, someone will ask you if you need help real quickly.

I'm not sure that a GPS would work for golf carts (due to the tunnels etc.) IF you golf alot you'll soon learn by "trial and error"! Do as everyone else says here---explore! Getting a bit lost every now and then will also help you find out the "lay of the land". Believe me...I'm "directionally challenged" and if I can navigate here, anyone can!!

Use the maps/addresses to find the GC's. After 1 or 2 rounds you will have no problems. If you do, just stop and ask for help.

OK....I've read about this issue for a couple years now.
If I develop a golf cart GPS app for Android and iOS, who wants a copy? |

That would be great except for us, we have an ipod touch but no iphone. Now if TV went WIFI that would work!

I'd buy it. I think I have room for one more app on my IPhone.
