Default garage storage system

Has anyone heard of a storage system for the garage, where the shelves can hold up to 1000 lbs per 4 ft section ?
There are also many special hooks and things for storing everything off the floor.

I have not seen one that can hold 1000lbs, but here is a link to a ceiling storage website: http://www.hyloft.com/products-by-ca...age.html#96x48 I was very interested when I saw the picture with storage above the garage door until I realized my garage here at TV is not as high as I have been used to.

I might be mistaken, but I'd think that anything that can hold 1,000 lbs. on a 4' shelf would have to be something like commercial storage shelving or pallet racks.

Home Depot has a good shelf system, four shelf but I would put the heavy stuff on bottom. Four foot wide for less than $100.00

There isnt a shelf made that would be anchored to a garage wall that would support 1/2 ton. Are you sure you dont mean 100 lbs.

I'm wondering who is going to put that half ton of stuff on the shelf? Even if it is a foot long, that's 250 pounds. I'm pretty strong but not that strong!
