Pickleball 101 Footware

I'm taking Picketball 101 next week. Can I play in my cross trainers that I play tennis in?

Pickleball footwear

Yes, you can play in crosstrainers as long as the sole of the shoe is not black. The black bottoms leave marks on the court.
