Default OBAMA and the State of the Union

I listened to the speech last night and could see some big holes in his so called intent for improvement for the common man. OK FINE.

Then today after golf and at lunch with my pals and several bourbons, I listened to our one liberal golfer giving his opinion on Obama's state of the union address and I no longer visualized the big holes in his smooth speech and felt empathy for the underclass of Americans.

So what is the truth?

Very simple, when I have a buzz on and am a little confused I look at Obama and say I LOVE YOU MAN. BUT when I am of clear mind I see BS I remember the statement, Money talks and BS walks.

To sum it up in simple terms, although unfortunate, to make a society work, you must have upper class with wealth, a small middle class that do just fine and a large lower class to make the ice cream for everyone to enjoy.

Obama's speech last night was just plain bupkus. He is campaigning the only thing he can do well because its easy to express populist platitudes and he can always blame others (bush, congress) if he fails. Obama is the poster child for spewing misinformation.

I watched with the intent of hopefully learning what he could have to offer in light of his track record to date...what ever that may be.

After 5 minutes I gave up and recorded it to be able to fast forward through the meaningless rhetoric. I would up fast forwarding through his entire speech.

Not one single initiative that would or could hold promise of something more than the usual rah rah pep rally caliber pied pipering.

Same old same old. For some one who is supposed to be holding out to his constituents and supporters any reason for re-electing him, he had absolutely NOTHING to offer.

If I missed it please enlighten me.

If you heard his speech last year you didn't miss anything as he just repeated himself this year.

Now if you wanted to hear a better speech, you need to listen to Mitch Daniels' response.

The highlight of the evening had to be Michelle (Mooch-elle) Obama's brilliant blue dress that she wore to the State of the Union - Class Warfare Address. It's a lovely dress from Barbara Tfank's Spring Resort Collection that any struggling American can get a Barney's for the reasonable price of $2400.00.

Richie, I am very disapointed in your reply. Yet, I will allow you to buy me an ice-cold Yeungling at the next meeting at the watering hole.

I totally expected something original instead of a rehash of something old, borrowed, and blue. Kind of like my niece's wedding, so to speak.

The President had a couple of thing that you agreed with. That will cost you at least one beer. Any more than three, and I would buy you a bar brand bourbon.

Hit them long, straight, and not too often.

He also has a captive audience in there, just dying to kiss the ring, and they can jump up and do standing ovations after every sentence with no re-butt-al.

Butt-kissing is, however, allowed....and rewarded.

So Michelle's dress is the substance you tout yourself for?

No matter who the President is (Repub or Dem) they deserve and should command respect. Jan Brewer blindsided him in a political stunt. He should have walked away from her.

I totally agree, Katz. I hope she let it all out and feels better after getting it off her chest. Whatever she said to him was born out of 3 years frustration.

I think she was "mad as hell and not going to take it anymore"!

I have to say, that even though I don't agree with your post, it's nice to see that you can write 3 civil sentences in a row without the at the end of your sentence.

I hope Gov Jan Brewer isn't looking for any federal money in the near future. The secret service should have hauled her off to jail. What an embarrassment to the citizens of AZ.

Ha; rehash of the old? Obama's whole speech was a rehash of the old (did ya watch the youtube clip?; did ya?) It was a rehash of all his failed promises that have put our country on the fast track to European style collapse.

The President had 1 good line. Where did I mention a couple?

Let me help you out Buggy, because you're slipping, or just hearing what you want to hear.

The President is rehashing all his same old tired rhetoric of class warfare and government spending which have failed in any measurable way to improve our situation.

Sooooo, you can applaud him for consistency!!

What an embarassment to the Great State of Arizona and the United States of America when the Federal Government will not enforce immigration laws to protect all legal citizens, both legal immigrants and native born from all the criminals that are crossing our borders, then giving them all money to stay here, while denying help and aid to our native citizens and legal immigrants. Shame on all of you for allowing this to happen.

Very well-said, Figmo. How can absolutely ANYONE disagree with that statement?

President Obama's administration has put more boots on the ground guarding the border than any other administation.
