Default Pools. Pros & Cons of Salt or Chlorine?

Pool owners. What are the pros and cons of either pool water from your experience?
We have to decide and find ourselves going back and forth between a salt water pool or a chlorine pool.
Does one cost more to have installed by the builder, does one cost more to operate.....

I have a salt water pool with a years experience and am pleased with its operation. Had a chlorine pool for years "up north" which took a lot of time to maintain.
Here is a site that responds to your question.
What are the advantages and disadvantages of a saltwater swimming pool

I would have guessed there would be more than 1 pool owner in TV with an opinion based on their experience.
Guess I was wrong. Really?

The way to go is ozone......do some research and you'll see that the new thinking is ozone generator for pools..........I had a spa up north with ozone and just put in a pool here and with a large ozonator.........

What's "ozone"? What's the cost? Is it easier to clean or maintain.

We want to move to The Villages but really hadn't considered getting a pool since there are so many. But from these post, it seems many people do have pools put in.

I've never heard of an ozone pool.

I had never heard of it either. I don't plan on putting in a pool but did google it!

It appears gentlemen there are three choices..... and if I were you, I would look into Ozone. It may not be for you.... But what's to lose to check it out?
