Default Dog Vets

We would like to get the names of a couple OUTSTANDING dog vets even if they are not in TV per se. Any suggestions?

We've tried at least four Village Vets. In the past five years we've had a few emergency situations, one operation, and one dog and one cat euthanized. Now we take the dogs off campus. I'm not saying Village Vets aren't good, I'm sure there are some excellent Vets! I often hear the one at Mulberrry praised. There are lots of Vets with large, elaborate and sparkly new offices and tons of receptionists and technicians. For us, we prefer the "old country vet" approach. If my dog has an ear infection, we don't want to talk to three technicians for an hour before we even see a Vet (which happened to us at Paws at Laurel Manor).

Buffalo Ridge Animal Hospital - absolutely terrific service, follow up, and a great facility. Near Walmart on 466. Our dog had an eye problem which they took care of right away and then followed up with emails. Great location, easy to get to.
Good Luck

I also agree with Dr. T at Mulberry Grove Animal Hospital. She's taken care of several dogs for us! I also love the fact you can send her a quick question via email and she will answer.

We also use Buffalo Ridge for our dogs medical needs. Now that they have 24 hour service makes it even better. Also they have a groomer on site that we use for our Boder Collie/ Collie mix

Buffalo Ridge is a very nice new facility and very convenient (close to the "new" Walmart). As Schotzyb says, they just started an Emergency Service for evenings and weekends. You don't have to be a client to use the Emergency Service. Previously we had to go to Leesburg for pet emergencies so for people in the north/west area, this new service is a Godsend!

I had never been there until last night...had to have my 18-year-old 4-legged baby put down. They were incredibly compassionate. The vet spent 20 minutes with me afterwards, just swapping pet stories. When I recover enough to get another pet, they will definitely get my business.

I'm sorry for your loss. I've sent you a PM. It sounds as if Buffalo Ridge has some very compassionate Vets on staff.

I know what you're going through. I lost my 12-year-old baby last July, and I'm still not over it. You were lucky you had your 4-legged baby as long as you did. Just try to remember all the happy times you had together.

Default Dog Vets....

I am so sorry to hear of your loss...Its good to know the Vet you dealt with understood your pain and was willing to spend time with you when you most needed it. I hope time will ease your feeling of loss.
Rainbow what breed of dog have you shown for 25 years? Boxers for us...with one resident Frenchie.
