Sowell does believe the protracted primary will create a problem but it depends on the nominee. If Romney not so much a problem because he has plenty of money to campaign on but that does not apply to the other candidates

President Obama is only releasing strategic oil from the reserves so that he can say he's doing all he can to help the people, and so the high prices are evidently the result of the evil of Big Oil.

This is strictly observational coupled with my supposition, after watching the duplicity of this President for over 3 years.
