Default The Middle East is just getting scarier

and scarier.

This evening, just doing some news reading and ran across all of this in just tonight..

SYRIA

"The "extremely dangerous" conflict in Syria could have global repercussions, U.N. Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon said Wednesday, as fresh violence erupted and an al-Qaida-inspired group claimed responsibility for two suicide bombings in Damascus."

News from The Associated Press

LIBYA

"One year after the U.S., Britain, and France began their war in Libya, the harmful consequences of Western intervention are readily apparent. The internal disorder and regional instability that the West's assault created were foreseen by many critics. And yet, Western governments made no meaningful efforts to prepare for them."

IRAN

"Iranian diplomats may have carried out “hostile reconnaissance” of sites in New York as many as six times, a warning sign that the city might be targeted for terrorist attack, according to a police official.

The incidents occurred between 2002 and 2010 and involved videotaping or photographing landmarks, rail service and bridges, said Mitchell Silber, director of the city police department’s intelligence analysis unit, in testimony before a U.S. House panel today."

"The United States and Britain accused Iran at the United Nations on Wednesday of shipping weapons to Syria that are being used by the Syrian government against their own people."

This plays to a lot of my fears actually...one, the press today with all of this is enamored with etch a sketch or some other trivial subject. Two...how did we get here ? Is this the "arab spring" ?

And the beat goes on...

"BAGHDAD: Al-Qaeda’s front group in Iraq claimed responsibility Wednesday for a wave of attacks that killed 46 people across the country this week. It added that the violence exposes how weak government security is ahead of the upcoming Arab League summit in Baghdad"

Just imagine a united radical Muslim nation made of these "Arab Spring" countries. Not my idea, I read it in a novel, but imagine.

it is not confined to the Arab/muslim countries. Check their growth in other countries and major cities worldwide.
