Default Where to stay in St. Augustine

Would like recommendations for staying overnight in St. Augustine. We are not interested in golf packages this trip - we have not been there. Also, are there "retirement" places you can go for a 'free' visit if you watch their promo?
Where would you stay and why would you pick that place? Thanks

We really like The Old Powder House Inn. It is in a great location, it is very clean, the grounds are lovely, it includes a great breakfast and the hosts are wonderful (I believe one of them owns in TV). I don't know if it is still being offered, but a couple of months ago they had a special--buy two nights, get a third night free. Can't hurt to ask.

Old Powder House Inn. A St Augustine Florida Bed and Breakfast Inn for unique B&B lodging.

Ditto! Great place to stay! Owners are indeed Villagers, and the nicest hosts you'll find anywhere. Have fun!

Default How do they do this?

How can you run a B & B and be a Villager? Do they have someone else managing and doing the day to day stuff? We are planning on going there sometime in the next few months.

They own in TV, just like many others who own in TV prior to retiring. Besides, in the B&B business hosts need a vacation every now and then (and TV isn't that far!).
