Is the USA becoming a laughing stock in the international community?

Obama is a joke pure and simple and the only people who don't get the joke are elitist liberals bcause they have their noses so high up in the air that all they ever see are "blue skies smiling at me"

Not sure if mock is the right word here.

Wonder what would happen if you did the same kind of search for words used in various meeting with foreign dignitaries with previous Republican and Democratic US Presidents? It would probably sound pretty much the same.

Some obscure celebrity from a small country makes fun of our president and it equates to the USA becoming a "laughing stock in the international community"? That is quite the stretch if you ask me.

I love this; now you have to run to see if you can find "Bushisms" to counter a story mocking Obama's verbiage. Didn't we have enough mocking of Bush for 8 years over the way he spoke?

Now you have to jump to his defense instead of just appreciating the obvious humor of our President offering multiple leaders of state the same exactly worded "compliment", instead of really thinking about who he was speaking to.

I don't know what's funnier.

I wasn't commenting on what the Dane said, I was commenting on the international laughing stock comment.

I think it is better to have a foreign commentator mock President Obama than to have foreign countries threaten to have former president Junior Bush and VP Dick "Darth Vader" Cheney arrested for war crimes if they leave the safety of the USA.

Twice that "Weekly Standard" piece said "..roles the tape..."
Hardly an example good use of language...why should I rely on the accuracy of anything in that rag?

I am sure you won't have to look far. I used to count his errors every time he spoke. Or danced. Or put his hands on female chancellors. And before y'all start in, I can also appreciate the humor from this president.

The Weekly Standard does look like a very Republican leaning magazine.

You think President Obama is appreciated? He's burning in effigy in parts of this world. Muslims feel betrayed by this President, and that's an interesting thing.
