Default Show My Street

showmystreet.com - fast & easy street viewing

This is a pretty cool website that zooms into your street a little at a time. Type in your address slowly for the full effect. It's great so you can see how your neighborhood is laid out.

It does not show homes in the new sections.

It shows Hadley. Not sure how far it goes. If you want to look at the newer areas try going to the Lake, Marion or Sumter property appraiser website and you can see them there.

I don't see any differences from Google Maps. Matter of fact this site brought up Google maps and street views on different searches I made.

You know guys I was just sharing a link that I thought all of you might like. I guess I was wrong to share it. It's kind of like getting a gift from someone, you don't find fault with it in front of the person. You just say thank you.

Thank you, Jnieman... and I mean that only in the nicest way! - I not only found TV streets but the streets I grew up on, as well. Also, if you only start typing part of an address, you can end up in Africa!

Sorry Judy, that wasn't an attack on you nor was it meant to be. I was simply voicing my opinion strictly on the site itself in comparison to Google, and quite frankly don't understand why you assumed that I was trying to criticize you personally for having made the post. I definitely don't want to discourage you from sharing things, but please don't be quick to assume that you're being unfairly criticized just because another express observations, opinions, comments or views about the subject of your post! In all likelihood, the most that can be accomplished by making and expressing those assumptions is, to make those of us who had no offending motives feel bad for having been misunderstood!

Skyguy I've been a member for quite some time and know how it goes on TOTV. I just didn't see any need at all for the posts saying what the link didn't have. I wouldn't post any comment on this board that I wouldn't post on Facebook to my friends and I would never criticize a link that someone chose to share with me out of the goodness of their heart. Maybe I'm being thin-skinned, but I think a few posters on here should think of us all as friends and not post something they wouldn't say to a friend.

Keep sending your links of interest! I'll check them all out...

I don't think it's necessary to correct or minimize posters who offer something that's interesting to others...kinda reminds me of gradeschool. Oh well.

I don't know, I thought it was kind of neat. I put the address in from my last house, and a photo from the front came right up. I kind of enjoyed it, and immediately book marked it. Thanks for posting.
