When tinfoil hats aren't enough--NCAA Football Playoff?

College Football Analysis: A 6-Team Playoff Makes the Most Sense

How would you set up a NCAA playoff for football teams? It seems to me that all the bowl sponsors would get quite upset with not getting all the advertising affiliated with their various bowl games.

What would happen to all these various bowl games in football if they did create a NCAA football playoff? There are now 35 bowl games involving 70 teams. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_college_bowl_games
