Default Makes it tough to run against

someone when already the interpetation of what you do is considered racism...

From TODAY's news...

"President Obama‘s policies aren’t working, the Obama presidency isn’t working, President Obama…isn’t working, as in, doing any work. That’s not a nice thing to say about any president, but like it or not, it becomes a more loaded accusation when leveled at our first black president.

Just to be sure it wasn’t just me, though, I asked several friends about the banner, and four out of four pointed out, unprompted, the stereotype of the “lazy,” “shiftless” black man. One of the people I called was cable news fixture Goldie Taylor, who, upon hearing my description of the banner, said “Are you kidding me? You have got to be kidding me.”

She also noted the multiple meanings, and the unmistakable stereotype it evokes, but didn’t think it was intentional."

This was concerning a sign or banner at a recent Romney event that said..

OBAMA ISNT WORKING

Great start for this campaign...already....now the writer of the article "sort of thinks it might be" and suggests that "A side-by-side comparison of how the Romney team initially deployed the slogan is perhaps what's needed here to clarify things"

I suppose that it is all racist..any criticism

Is This Banner At A Romney Event Racist? (No.)

By the way..not a single person saying this..google it

Then of course from TODAY's as well.....First some background...

"Bachmann assailed President Obama’s economic record and when the subject of the President’s proposed crackdown on speculators manipulating the oil market and his blocking the Keystone XL pipeline came up, she said, “This is just about waving a tar baby in the air and saying that something else is a problem.”

This is part of the reaction...

"In most families or social groups there is one moron that is an embarrassment to human intelligence, and when they make absurd comments, the best course of action is to ignore them and attribute their remarks to stupidity. However, when their comments are intentionally racist, it is nearly impossible to discount them as uniquely stupid, because they are bigots. Over the past four years, Republicans have unleashed a bevy of excruciatingly awkward politicians who do not represent the collective intelligence or common decency of most Americans, and one of their stars emerged to remind the country why the GOP is loathsome and racist in discussions about President Obama"

So watch all euphemism's because you WILL be accused....and people will then make that a fact....

Michele Bachmann’s Tar Baby Obama Racism Masks the GOP’s Sticky Situation

The esteemed Congresswoman from Minnesota should just confess she is a racist. Confession is good for the soul.

Kinda reminds me of Senator Macacca. He didn't know it was a derogatory term, claimed he just "made it up".

See, the thing about the Cons is that ..... well .... they just aren't smart enough to even realize what they are saying. It's always ....."oh, I didn't mean it that way".

I guess Bucco should thank you for validating his post. He might be too "polite" to do so, but...........

Agreed...my point is that it is seen in almost everything. Does not matter how you criticize this administration, if you do, you stand a good chance of being labeled a racist !

Thats ok, EXCEPT...the media plays it and it goes on and on and all of sudden with no substance it has become a fact and trust me....on this forum, folks will say things like ....as we all know Republicans are racists....and that just keeps on going

By the way, welcome to the forum and TOTV !!

One must remember that Michelle Bachman is a certified moron.

She once said, ""If we took away the minimum wage -- if conceivably it was gone -- we could potentially virtually wipe out unemployment completely because we would be able to offer jobs at whatever level."

Don't forget, either, that many, many of these wubers on TOTV were ardent supporters of the Minnesota Moron.

You also totally miss the very serious point and go for the name calling.

As with the other smart crack, no surprises. Points being made just escape you.

Instead of copying and pasting some tripe and then trying to explain it, why not just say it in your own words and give a link. It is much easier to read if you use all the same size font. I really do not follow much of what you have written lately. It seems quite incoherent when compared to writings of a few weeks ago. Did something happen? That is a serious question.

I dont even know how to respond to this.

Are you saying that you make these ridiculous insulting posts because you have trouble following my posts ?

Sorry if I have confused you.....perhaps if you thought more about the subject of the post and less on trying to find someone to insult it may go better for you.

More from the Minnesota Moron -

"''I don't know how much God has to do to get the attention of the politicians. We've had an earthquake; we've had a hurricane. He said, 'Are you going to start listening to me here?"
—Republican presidential candidate Michele Bachmann, suggesting that the 2011 East Coast earthquake and hurricane was a message from God

Hope this does not get the wubers too upset to find out that the Minnesota Moron is not the messenger of God.

this thread is not about any particular person and was not set up for you to insult and demean anyone, although it appears that it is something you cannot control.

You really have a tendency to ruin threads so I suppose you have a skill....one sought by most flamers....good bye
