I have a few laminate floors in my house, and I use a broom and Swiffer Sweeper Wet Jet. I also tried the Swiffer SweeperVac and it worked fairly well also. I found this site http://www.swifferreviews.com that might help you get started if you want to use a Swiffer.

Swiffers are great. We use the Swiffers for the quick cleanings and about twice a month we use a Shark Steam Mop. It leaves the hardwood floors sparkling.

I am a retired residential house cleaner. It is a good product, but after some time the cleaning fluid will leave a residue after awhile that will be hard to get rid of.

We had laminate up north...I first swept the floor, then the dry Swiffer, then the wet-Swiffer. That was hard work so here am using a stick vac and the wet-Swiffer. I've alternated with a regular damp mop, but then you have to use some kind of dry towel to get up the areas of wetness as it will leave "water-marks" plus isn't good for the laminate. The floor-people also will give you tips on how to clean the laminate. Back to the damp mopping...I would add some white vinegar to the water as well which is THE best cleaning solution in my opinion.
