Default Top 20 Golf Courses

I am trying to make a list of the top 20 golf courses, and so far I have only a few. I'm interested in golf courses that have celebrity status -- courses that non-golfers would recognize if, for example, they were directed to the 'St. Andrews' table at a wedding reception. I'm hoping all the golfers here can help me with my list.

As you can tell, I'm not a golfer... I'm the mother of the bride & trying to help. I can make the golf flag table numbers & the table cards, but I don't know what to print on them. The golfer bride would know, but she has her hands full right now.

Thanks so much,
Mother Judy

I don't know if I can come up with 20, but here would be my choices
1. The old course at St. Andrews
2. Augusta
3. Pebble Beach
4. Cyprus Point
5. Pine Valley
6. Shinnecock
7. Oakmont
8. Inverness (I'm from Toledo, but it deserves to be on the list anyway)
9. Pinehurst
10. Winged Foot

that's all I can think of but I'm sure someone will have more knowledge than I do and add to the list.

Judy, if a "funny one" would be appropriate, sneak one in that says "Putt-Putt".

Wow! There's MORE! Thanks! I'll send her an additional list in the morning.

I do have a question... Is 'TPC' part of the name? Would I use TPC Sawgrass on the table card, or would I just use Sawgrass? Does it matter?

I'm also wondering... If they have logos & I copy their logos will I be in trouble for copyright/trademark violations?
It's late & I'm not thinking straight.

TPC: Tournament Players Course

There must be a bunch of TPC courses cause I just noticed this one up the road from our old homestead in the East Bay:

New Homes in the East Bay Hills Near San Francisco - Stonebrae Country Club and Golf Course

If you go to the Golf Digest web site, they list the top 100 courses every year. They change a little bit each year but not a lot.

America's 100 Greatest Golf Courses/2011-12, ranking: Golf Digest

And did I miss seeing Augusta National? No top list could be complete without that one. And Muirfield and Royal Sydney should be there as well.
