Default Garage screens

We are warming up to the garage screens. Do they are go from top to bottom or do they go from side to side? Could you please give some insight on their value? Both what they cost and are they worth it? And finally, any names of companies would be appreciated.
Thanks.

This is the second home I've had with the side-to-side "solar" garage screen. "Solar" screens are white and reflect much of the heat that would normally be hitting your garage door. You can get them in black, (normal screen color) but then don't reflect the sun but even more importantly, they don't provide any privacy. With solar, it's very difficult for someone to look into your garage unless it is evening and you have your garage light on.

The cost depends on the size of your garage. I can tell you that I have an over-sized garage and my screen costs less than $800. The gentleman who did both of my homes is Tim Carstens, a perfectionist that has been installing them for years. His number is: 352-821-3609.

Thank you so much. It sounds like you really know what you are talking about. And I really don't have to have motorized screens. So this might just do the trick.
