Default East Coast flooring versus Floormasters

Looking for people to weigh in on the quality of installation of East Coast Flooring versus Floormasters. Is there a significant and noticeable difference?

If you use the "Search" feature above and type in flooring it will bring up the posts involving members' comments. It appears that East Coast has a distinct advantage in the pro column and I would agree. If you would see the three rooms of laminate that they put down recently in my home, I don't think you would want to consider anyone else. Just my opinion.

to add to the other posts found you can find doing a search - the only thing good about our project with floormasters was the price...after that...EVERYTHING was down hill!!!...especially the first installer.

we had used them because of the favorable posts here...but our project wound up being a TOTAL screw-up...with no compassion or apology or let us help you from ANYONE at floormasters. the original installer got a buddy of his to complete the job - floormasters did NOT!

needless to say, the lack of customer service turned us off and we will NEVER use them again; nor can we recommend them...regardless of how good the price is.

Unfortunately, we have to use quarter round because there was carpet under the baseboard and required a larger space because of the height of the carpet and its undermat. versus tile or hardwood.

We used East Coast and they asked if we wanted the installers to remove our baseboard and install under it or install quarter round. Since I have wide baseboards and rounded corners, I felt there was just too much molding to be removed and replaced. Opted for the quarter round .... Easier to remove that if boards need to be replaced.

Exactly. We have the higher baseboard as well and if they removed it and lowered it, the wall would need repair so quarter round it is.

Love East Coast Flooring,, would not use any one else. No Qtr Round used,, Took base boards off,, sanded and repainted and put back on. Highly Recommend

That's the professional way to do it, NOT quarter rounds

East Coast Flooring did a beautiful job. They do NOT use subcontractors.

I vote for Floormasters
They did our whole house with laminate and carpet (bedrooms) also did backsplash in kitchen and carpet in lanai.
Very satisfied - installation and price.

That was a lame excuse by the store , installer, or both. The baseboards are installed before the carpet and pad, not on top of them. The baseboards can be removed and reinstalled on top of the new flooring. Paint easily touched up afterwards.

I've used East Coast Flooring a couple of times and have recommended them to neighbors. I'd used them again.

We did use East Coast and the laminate floors were lovely. Darrell did a really nice job. And they do make good if there is a problem.
