Default Whomever wins, they better be able

to get congress to work together and quickly...

"The U.S. economy will probably tip back into recession next year if Congress doesn’t address an impending “fiscal cliff,” the Congressional Budget Office said.
The nonpartisan agency said in a report today that the economy would contract at an annual rate of 1.3 percent in the first half of 2013 if lawmakers allow the George W. Bush-era tax cuts to expire as scheduled and don’t head off $1.2 trillion in government spending cuts set to begin taking effect in January.

The economy would resume growing in the second half of next year, CBO said, at an annual rate of 2.3 percent.
“Such a contraction in output in the first half of 2013 would probably be judged to be a recession” according to past recessions as identified by the National Bureau of Economic Research, CBO said.
“Policy makers face difficult tradeoffs in deciding how quickly to implement policies to reduce budget deficits,” the report said. “Particularly important given the current state of the economy, immediate spending cuts or tax increases would represent an added drag on the weak economic expansion.”

Going Over U.S.

I understand they are talking but have we heard that before ?

Nothing will change in Congress - until Speaker Pelosi takes over - just a few more months.

Be patient.

When the president and both houses of congress ate Republicans for about 4 years and the teaparty is breathing down thier necks, things will change for the better.

Obama and the Democrats do not want to and can't stop spending until such time as they have turned this nation into a Greese.

Romney will have the guts to make the hard choices. With a Republican Congress he will have the power to implement those cuts.

It will be a tough four years but I think we will be much better off for it.

As much as I think the hard right will try to do things too quickly, too much based on an inflexible and narrow ideology, I'd be willing to give the idea a chance. Do I think it will happen? No.

An ADULT in the WH....ADULTS in congress and we will have a tough time for a bit but work to a solution. PROBLEM....finding adults.

If not, we still have the problems only maybe worse.

at a minimum we would at least have a leader in the WH that knows hard decisions that have to be made, like fixing sick companies in his past.

And getting ANY leadership, ANY what so ever will be better for the country.

Which is the bigger risk? Continuing with the do nothing congress and aloof amateur in the WH or putting a businessman in that might try to do too much (which wouldn't by the way take much).

My personal philosophy of removing non performers makes my decision so very easy.
