Default Senate Democrats "War On Women" (staffers)

Democrat Senators who declared that Republicans are waging a "war on women" pay their female staffers significantly less than they do male staffers.

Democrat Senators who just announced a "war" on the "gender pay gap" yesterday, have substantial gender pay gaps in their own offices.

One of the worst offenders is female Democrat Senator Patty Murray who pays her female staffers 35% less than her male staffers, way above the reported national average of 23%.

Senator Chuck Schumer pays his male staffers 36% more that his female staffers on average.

Male staffers of Democrat Senators earn an average of $6500 MORE a year than their female staffers.

Oh, I love the smell of hypocrisy in the morning.

I'd be interested if you could please clarify your comment, or post a link to that effect.

You post is the false one. Why are you, the avowed "Republican" always defending Democrats?

What's your game here?

@The Villager II, I thought Media Matters went out of business after Glenn Beck retired from Fox.

As a former compensation officer for the government, I would only guess the reason for the pay difference between the genders would be different levels of duties and responsibilities. Each position description is matched with position classification standards from the Office of Personnel Managment and a determination is made on the correct salary level.

I could go on about position classification in the Federal government but it would lead to eyes glazing over and people falling asleep on their keyboards. My wife and daughter would always roll their eyes when I came home from work and said, "Let me tell you a funny classification story that happened at work today."

Did it ever occur to you that the men might be in more important jobs and therefore paid more? Aren't these salaries determined by pay grade?

I'm sure the republican female senators pay their female employees more than their male employees. I'm just trying to remember, are there any female republican senators? Oh, that's right - four of them, soon to be two when Kay Bailey and Olympia Snowe retire. Ten percent of republican senators are women, soon to be five percent - pathetic.

The article being referred to still does not change the fact that 98% of all republican house members voted against the "Lilly Ledbetter Fair Pay Act of 2009".

Democrat Senators don't consider women capable of high level duties and responsibilities???

You're making this situation even more distasteful.

How can these Democrat Senators get away with this??

Read the post and you will see for yourself. I am busy right now trying to help God's messenger on the Forum.

I will get back to you later. Keep in mind one on one is fair, anything else is bullying.

I will never defend a Democrat, but I will defend the truth.
