Default 1-800-Mattress

I was wondering if anyone has ever used 1-800-Mattress when purchasing a new mattress and if so what experiences have you had?

I am all for buying items on line, but a mattress I don't think I would personally. Unless you have been to the store and laid on the mattress for 15 minutes or so and have done your research. We had a very difficult time finding just the right softness and firmness required. Some mattresses we would look at and thought they would feel awesome and after we laid on them, we wouldn't like them at all.

I have worked in a few furniture stores in the past. Your best bet is to go to a furniture that has a good quality mattress not a low end one like the 800#. Yes there are stores that sell sealy, serta etc, but the type of stores is what counts....example Badcock furniture sells less quality sealy's that Blockers or Babettes Furniture.... Ashley furniture is also a low end..... you need to go & lay in each type to see if it is right for you.....also you may want to call the manufactures of the type of mattress you are looking for to see how they grade their mattresses. Good luck FYI I got my matress at Blocker in Ocala...Kanes located in front of them have lower quality, and do not get a serta pilow top, they are known to sag with in a few yrs...

Never used 1-800 mattress, but have bought from:

US-Mattress: Mattresses from Sealy, Simmons, Serta, Stearns & Foster

They have every major brand, every level quality and deliver and set up at your home. However you have to do your research and know the different levels of quality each brand has and test the mattress in a store. One problem is most manufacturers have 4 or 5 different names for the exact same mattress. So look at things like coil count, layers of different materials and firmness ratings to make sure what you test and what you buy is the same. If you do your homework you can get significant savings ordering online from them.
