Mike,
The picture has a shimmy (?) to it and then eventually stops. In the beginning it really was distracting and then it got less and less. We called and got a boost from cable yesterday buy it didn't help. We unplugged everything and then restarted it but it still didn't solve the issue. It just started 2 days ago. Now this morning we turned TV on and there wasn't any shimmering of the picture. Sounds like it might be a component in the TV but had to call cable just in case.

Did you try unplugging the TV from the wall for a minute or so? Sometimes with the electronic monsters, just making them reboot solves problems. Turning them off doesn't do it since they still draw current when turned off.

Also, if you haven't tried it already, make sure the cables are tight between the wall and cable box and the box and the TV. If you have a VCR or TIVO in the mix, check that connection as well.

Did the cable company come out or just boost signal from the main office? Perhaps there is some leakage at the main box that serves several homes.

Sorry I can't be more specific. These are just some things I would try.

Thanks Mike, did try your suggestions and cable guy is due tomorrow. Hope it's their problem and not mine as it's too soon to have TV trouble with a 2 year old set.
