Default Cart Path restrictions

Coming down next week for golf with my dad who is 89. Are the even /odd hole cart restrictions still in effect? Are there any championship courses that don't have restrictions?

All the phone numbers are at Golf The Villages. With all the rain we have been getting and more being forecast.....the conditions change daily.

at his age just ask at the starter shack for a handicap tag and he will be able to drive anywhere on the course. They are very liberal. have fun

Default liberal?

I have seen when they would NOT honor special access tags and were very restrictive to cart path only..I'd check before hand, but there really is no guarantee..things change daily and by course..There are all kinds of restrictions I've seen based on course conditions..I had one tell me "fairway only" with the 90* rule..They were not watering the rough and wanted to minimize traffic..My point is check early and often and be ready for a change of plans..Good luck and enjoy..

Like Bogie said, weather changes, restrictions change. Also if restricted to cart path only, reasonable accomodation tags are also "restricted to cart path only". check it out like Bogie said by calling the courses.

Not familiar with the "even/odd hole cart restrictions" statement. Can you define what the restriction is?

Means every other hole restricted to cart path or rough on the cart path side due to (in this case) drought. Since we have had 5+ inches of rain there are temporary restrictions for wet (muddy) fairways that restrict carts to the rough or in some case the cart path. This changes daily depending on weather and drainage. Hope this helps

Default even/odd

I did see a couple of weeks ago that every other hole was cart path only..They even had the holes on the score cards hilighted..The only reason I can think of was to give the fairways a little break...
