Default Birdcage

We are planning on reserving a lot next week and building next year. Does anyone know if there are minimum lot size restrictions for birdcages (due to setback requirements)? And what would be the average lot premium for such a lot?

Any help would be much appreciated!

Your sales rep should have all that information.

Thanks Bogie - but our sales rep said that we can't put a small pool on a larger corner lot. Would this also apply to a birdcage?

I think every situation is different. If you go to this site districtgov.org there is information regarding altering a homesite. Here is specific info.
VCDD Architectural Review
It even shows some site plans examples. There are contact telephone numbers where you can call and get correct answers rather than opinions.

The guidelines for construction, including bird cages, are: no closer than 5 feet from the side lot boundary and 10 feet from the rear. The problem for corner lots is that there is also a setback required from the side street to the addition. I'm not sure what the exact setback restriction is, but it probably is the same setback that houses that front onto that street must have. So, in many cases, what looks like a huge lot is actually quite small from an addition perspective.

Your sales agent can take the plot of any lot that you are interested in and place the footprint of the model house that you want over it and you can tell how much room there is for additions.
