Just spotted this on MSN.
Apparently, yesterday, in Hudson Florida, a 79 year old widow's home was sucked down into a sinkhole. Ironically, she was having her home evaluated for the possibility of sinkholes; the crews were actually surveying her property when the sinkhole opened up and swallowed her "sun room" and several other rooms........supposedly, it was a massive sinkhole. Sounds more like "catastrophic ground collapse" to me - according to the definition:
http://www.dep.state.fl.us/geology/g...khole_2008.pdf As long as she's got a homeowners insurance policy in force - even without sinkhole coverage on it - she'll be covered. Bill ![]() |

I have read that Pasco County is one of the worst for sinkholes, etc.
