Default Orrin Hatch primary.

Utah Primary: Orrin Hatch’s Fate, Last GOP Primary - ABC News

Looks like Senator Orrin Hatch will probably get the nomination for his party for the Utah Senate race.

I remember he was one of the very few Senators who wrote back a very encouraging letter about my efforts to get practical materials for survivors of crimes into libraries of all kinds.

Most of the politicians just gave me the run-around, not Senator Hatch though.

I would Xerox good and useful responses like that of Senator Hatch, then send these along with my story of my interest in victims/survivors rights to other politicians, state and federal agencies to try to also get them involved with the cause. Started having to reduce the size of these Xerox's of Senator Hatch's and other responses.

Will win only because he was willing to change his opinion on immigration and shift to the far, draconian right.

If that's true, its sad. On eve of GOP primary, Politico asks: 'Can Sen. Orrin Hatch beat the tea party?' | Deseret News

Default Senator Orrin Hatch wins Republican primary.

Charlie Rangel, Orrin Hatch Win Primary Contests - ABC News

It often surprises me just how long some of these politicians have been in office.

it makes one wonder about the constituency and what is in it for them to continue to re-elect a proven liar, crook and thief.

Term limits and age restrictions are needed to give the government a much needed enema.

Business as usual along with the apathy of we the people = downfall of America as we knew it!!!! (as we know it no longer applies!!!).

Suppose you mean Charlie Rangel?? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Charlie_Rangel Cannot recall ethical challenges of Senator Orrin Hatch. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Orrin_Hatch

Cannot see how we could get limited terms on Members of Congress without some kind of US Constitutional Amendment behind it. Who would fund such an effort?? Seems like most of the powerful economic interests in the US as well as in the global economy want things like they have been with politicians they can influence in various ways.

Senator Hatch was one of the first US Congressmen to help me with seeing the need to get libraries involved with delivering social services in the guise of valuable information for survivors/victims of crimes.

More politicians came around after Senator Orrin Hatch-- but that was after I mentioned this precedent he set by xeroxing the letter from him along with copies of many others like those from various State victim assistance agencies. You would think it is a no brainer to help victims/survivors of crimes.

Not really though as many libraries (in 2012) still do not have much of anything in the way of links to social service websites offering assistance to victims/survivors of crimes.

I went down to the Pinellas County (FL) Sheriff's Office back in September 2002 to give them a couple hundred copies of these various letters (like Senator Hatch's) and a Homicide Detective I talked to said they had very mixed feelings about arming survivors/victims of crimes with information about their rights and resources available to them. I guess they add an unpredictable element to the US Justice System.

Well well well here we go again a crook like Charlie Rangel excites his base once again.. I can hear them all now "Yea Charlie's a crook but he's our crook." I guess it never occured to them that if he is capable of stealing from some he is capable of stealing from everyone. Rangel, Pelosi, Waters, etc continue to escape because "we the people" let them

Good and honest people can disagree but disagreement is not disloyalty. Dishonesty is not only disloyalty it is a result of a selfish end and a selfish end comes at the expense of so many others.

Congress had their opportunity to rid themselves of this pirhana and as usual lack the will to do so

He won his Democratic primary. Since his District is almost all Democrat, he is virtually assured a win in November. http://www.bloomberg.com/news/2012-0...-district.html

I guess the same could be said for Governor Rick Scott. "Yea, Rick's a crook, but he's our crook", the person who was CEO of the company found guilty of the largest medicare fraud in US history.

Or our ethically challenged Senator Marco Rubio, who just happened to keep pulling out the wrong credit card from his wallet time after time. My question to Rubio is, didn't you notice the charges not coming in on your personal credit card? Rubio's been under investigation by the state ethics committee since before he left office.
