Excerpts from a weekend edition Wall Street Journal article on how the Washington lobbyists have swung into high gear, now that ObamaCare has been deemed constitutional, lobbying to assure that parts of ObamaCare are changed, maybe even "improved" for their clients. Like...

• Hospital owners want the government to reduce the $155 billion in health care payment cuts that got included duirng last-minute negotiations to get the bill passed.

• Makers of medical devices are lobbying to get the 2.3% tax on their devices removed from the bill in future amendments.

• Health insurance companies are lobbying hard to get the right to charge older, sicker people higher premiums than younger, healthy policy owners. The bill, as passed, has some hefty prohibitions on premiums based on age or health.

• And of course, the trial lawyers are lobbying to assure there's no sort of tort reform that gets added into the bill with new amendments.

My oh my...listen hard for the sound of the $100 bills falling into the pockets of members of Congress. By the way, do any of the things being lobbied for actually reduce healthcare spending? While your guess is as good as mine, we really don't have to guess, do we?

don't forget the multitude of those excused from having to implement the law as passed.

Also the mind set that gives exception after exception to the Iran sanctions to a point there is no real impact. And just like too many other initiatives by the USA/Obama....very word intense with very little if any substance in almost all cases.
