Default Lighthouse in LSL

We were there last night, highly recommend. The decor and atmosphere is such that you could think you were in an "eat in the rough" in Maine. The food was excellent - we started with a NE Clam Chowder which was far from being NE, but good. Then I had baked haddock, good size piece of fish and I chose to have it served with slaw which was excellent. The other half opted for swordfish which he said was really good, he had fries and slaw. The prices were on a par with the better restaurants in TV. Our waitress was excellent and very accommodating, we will definitely be going back. Last night, because it was so hot, we chose to eat in, but later in the year it would be really nice to eat out overlooking the water.

Last night one of the specials was full bodied fried clams ............. another was fried oysters .............. almost like "home".

Lighthouse is a no brainer in the Villages. Always great food and good service. Love their daily specials and always take company there.

And new owner too. It's no longer owned by the Morses.

Since "Up the Creek" closed, (now reopened as Codys), we've switched over to the Lighthouse. We enjoy taking company there ... it's nice to sit outside overlooking the water. We also like Amelia's for outside ambiance.

I agree, we love to eat there. Lighthouse salad is wonderful.
The ONLY negative is the noise level.

Did you eat inside? I find it very noisy inside. It's almost impossible to have a conversation if they are having entertainment. We only go to the Lighthouse when we can sit outside. But the outside ambiance is great.
