After finishing a business meeting in Wash. DC, I was going thru the same DC airport terminal on Saturday, May 19, and witnessed (and joined in) a similar showering of applause to the military veterans (ages 70-90?) as they were going thru the terminal. It was wonderful -- the look on their faces when they saw/heard our appreciation. The applause went on and on! What a memorable experience for the veterans...and all those who showed their appreciation on that day.

Very moving. I kind of wish I could have witnessed this in person.

Good post.

That's when you say out loud "I'm proud to be an American".

Very moving. My uncle is 99 and a Navy vetean of WW2.

He fought in the pacific and was off the coast of Japan when they surrendered.

We owe a great debt for their sacrifices and services.

BTW - I loved the song.
