Default Why Romney is unlikeable

Passing this along just as it was sent to me, with no further comment except to say that #4 should say just "southern preacher" IMO.

Why Mitt Romney is Unlikable! ................................

A lot is being said in the media about Mitt Romney not being "likable" or that he doesn't "relate well" to people. Frankly, we struggled to understand why. So after much research, we have come up with a Top Ten List to explain this "unlikablility."

Top Ten Reasons To Dislike Mitt Romney:

1. Drop-dead, collar-ad handsome with gracious, statesmanlike aura. Looks like every central casting's #1 choice for Commander-in-Chief.

2. Been married to ONE woman his entire life, and has been faithful to her, including through her bouts with breast cancer and MS.

3. No scandals or skeletons in his closet. (How boring is that?)

4. Can't speak in a fake, southern, "black preacher voice" when necessary.

5. Highly intelligent. Graduated cum laude from both Harvard Law School and Harvard Business School...and by the way, his academic records are NOT sealed.

6. Doesn't smoke or drink alcohol, and has never done drugs, not even in the counter-culture age when he went to college. Too square for today's America?

7. Represents an America of "yesterday", where people believed in God, went to Church, didn't screw around, worked hard, and became a SUCCESS!

8. Has a family of five great sons....and none of them have police records or are in drug rehab. But of course, they were raised by a stay-at-home mom, and that "choice" deserves America's scorn.

9. Oh yes.....he's a MORMON. We need to be very afraid of that very strange religion that teaches its members to be clean-living, patriotic, fiscally conservative, charitable, self-reliant, and honest.

10. And one more point...pundits say because of his wealth, he can't relate to ordinary Americans. I guess that's because he made that money HIMSELF.....as opposed to marrying it or inheriting it from Dad. Apparently, he didn't understand that actually working at a job and earning your own money made you unrelatable to Americans.

I think I can trust him. He is the best choice available by far.

Save the republic, elect Mitt Romney!

Thanks for the run down.

Mitt Romney reminds me in many ways of John Kerry, who I also did not find all that likeable. I voted for Bush in 2004 mainly because he seemed a lot more trusthworthy than John Kerry. I actually though John Edwards was rather honest though, at least for a trial lawyer.

Yeah, I thought Edwards was above the fray - what a scumbag he turned out to be.

The original poster's post illustrates how upside down American's thinking has become in today's maddening world.

The information is spot on and I want to thank the OP for sharing this information

Mitt Romney just comes off as such a phoney baloney with his fake laugh...heh heh heh. When asked by Diane Sawyer what he would say to President Obama, Romney answered "Start packing" heh heh heh. Ann Romney said "It's our turn". Who do they think they are? Charles and Camilla?

Actually, I think that is pretty funny!

At least they both have a sense of humor...what do you think he should have said?

Charles and Camilla? Not by a long shot. The Romney's obviously have morals...Charles and Camilla do not.

the list certainly sets him apart from the career politicians.
And the deal maker for many of is:

The Romney's obviously have morals..I don't think anybody needs an R or a D to contrast morals vs not.....although the partisan loyalists...no matter what....still throw stones....incredible.

You are totally naive and blindly biased toward the presumptive Republican Presidential nominee if your view is "The Romney's obviously have morals".

I don't not know about their morals and neither do you.

Talk to a John Edwards supporter.

(If anyone else is reading, this kind of frivolous judgement is the perfect example of folks supporting candidates for reasons they have manufactured in their own minds.)

Ed, I've got to say I love this post and am a little surprised you posted it; but pleasantly surprised none the less.

It's funny, and the humor is in the basic truth of it.

Thanks for the smile.

You probably also thought it was hilarious when Ann Romney said "you people have all the tax returns you're going to get". You people???????????? What are we..........her subjects? I suspect that's the way she speaks to the hired help.
