Default Any kidney transplant survivors out there in TV?

My husband and I have put a deposit on a lot in Fernadina and I am just a little worried about leaving my excellent Transplant Clinic in Boston. So hoping someone out there can point me in the right direction for continued follow up. Thanks

I am seeing Dr. Robert Meade who practices in Leesburg and The Villages is a medical specialist in adult nephrology. He is professionally affilated with Florida Hospital Waterman and has an office in the Florida Heart and Vascular Center. My second appointment is coming up the end of August so I am not sure how he will handle my disease being I am new to Florida. I found another doctor who specializies in kidney disease named Ruth Meneses-Taylor who is also affilated with Florida Hospital Waterman. If things don't work out with Dr. Meade then I will see her.

Hi, Since you're from Boston, you might be used to driving long distances to get to your Boston Doctors. I'm also from Boston, so used to drive an hour to see my Drs. I know it's 2 1/2 hours away, but for something serious you could go to the Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville. I went there for a heart problem and they were amazing. I also have a friend who went to the teaching hospital in Gainesville. She was on the list for a Pancrease transplant and said they have a great reputation. I think it's Shands.

I have found Shands to be an excellent post transplant care hospital. It was recommended to me by the Dr.s at U of Penn hospital where I had my organ transplant,
