The 14th Amendment makes it quite clear that there a two kinds of citizens:
"Born".....on American soil; and "Naturalized"......made a U.S. citizen thru legal immigration and citizenship processing. Marco Rubio was born on American soil and has been a citizen since the moment of his birth. He was not "naturalized" later by legal processes. 14th Amendment, Section 1. All persons born or naturalized in the United States, and subject to the jurisdiction thereof, are citizens of the United States and of the State wherein they reside. |

Marco Rubio and Ted Cruz both first generation Cuban-Americans epitomize would America is all about. Both of these guys clearly demonstrate their love of America. its freedoms and opportunities and both of these guys are very impressive. Listen to Rubio and Cruz and then listen to Obama . Point of fact. Rubio was born in 1971, his father became a citizen in 1975, making Marco a native born citizen, not a natural born citizen, according to Vettal's Law of Nations, which was used by the founder when writing the constitution. That is why there is a clause in there about them having to been here at the time the constitution was written, that waived that requirement.

Read the difference between naturalized and native born citizens. The 14th Amendment was written for those brought to this country against their will. Libs have over the years changed the meaning to include anyone born on US soil. Learn the difference, let's see just how much of an American Son Rubio really is.

I do not care were Rubio or Cruz were born or whether they qualify to be President or Vice President because as Senators they, and morelike them that will follow, are going to change Washington for the better and better as members of Congress than any one President could ever do
In otherwords their birth status doesn't negate who they are and the value they bring to America as American citizens naturalized or not..Indded these two guys are truly impressive |

rubicon, I agree with you. Rubio and Cruz are great as Senators, there is no requirement that you be a natural born citizen to be a senator or congress(person) (using the PC correct usage). It is only a requirement if you want to be President or VP, would also apply to the lineage of those that would replace the President if something should happen to the person holding that office.
Either we start to follow the Constitution or scrap the whole thing and start over. Voters will decide this coming November. |

Buggyone, why would the Republicans do that. They wanted to pick and run their own "American Son" who is not eligible to be either President or VP. Tit for Tat. Has I have stated many times, both parties are the same, working for the same end game, screw WE THE PEOPLLE while lining their own pockets.
I have to say, Buggyman your tells are so easy to read, that is why I took home all the big money at the last poker game. you Libs really need to watch all the tells that you are sending for when the game ends you will wonder why you have lost some much. BTW, when is the next poker game, I am getting short of change and would like to re-supply, or better yet, just mail me all your change, will take me less time to take it away from you, but not nearly with as much fun.
