Default Horseback riding

My son and his girlfriend are in town and would like to go horseback riding. I saw some old posts about this but the links were broken. Best place nearby? Price? Links? She is experienced, he is not.

thanks,
russ

Russ, we went riding at the JnB Horse Haven Farm in the Ocala National Forest, and it was a lovely day. It's not too far from TV. You drive up 441 and turn right at SE 165th Street and the stables are on your left just after Weirsdale. Here's the address:

22651 Southeast Highway 452
Umatilla, FL 32784

I couldn't find a website for it, but maybe it's in the phone book? I do remember that we could add on another hour of riding for a very reasonable amount of $$, so of course I signed us up for the 2 hour ride. It was a big mistake. I hadn't been horseback riding in years, and one hour was plenty for me. I had a sore bottom for days afterward!

The Girl Scout camp near Wildwood also has horseback trail rides. I can find out more information about that if you need it.

We went to Inverness to do the airboat ride in May and I noticed a sign that advertised horseback riding on the way. I believe it was called "Just Horsen' Around". I googled it and came up with this phone number - 352-637-2206. It's on Rt. 44 about a half hour from TV.

Just remind them to pick up the poop.

Hugs,
