Heartbreaking especially for those of us that have fond memories of the Jersey shore.

Thoughts and prayers for those who lost homes, cars, and family members.

How did Baywood come through, Skip? The pictures from Brick Beach area and Mantaloking are unbelievable. My family came through pretty well.

Hi Linda,
I don't have any other specifics on other towns because fortunately we were down here and not in NJ when the storm hit. All our relatives and friends scattered throughout the Shore got thru the storm with minimal damage. Our home also skirted around any damage although 2 miles east the area was devasted with flooding and downed trees. Lots of refrigerator contents headed to the dumpsters. One of our friends just got their power back last night @ 9 PM. God bless the workers who continue to fight thru this mess. It looks like the repair work will stop today as the Nor'Easter is due this afternoon.

OMG, I have been talking to my family and friends from home (Brick and Point and TR) but I hadn't seen pictures like these before. It made me sick. It's one thing to hear it but another to see it. I looked at the Press onlline and didn't see anything like this before. Thank you for sharing. My heart goes out to all of you for having to be so brave and endure. So very sorry for all of this tragedy. I wish I was home to help instead of stuck in PA.
