Default hotel in the villages

Looking for a nice hotel in the villages that is reasonably priced. Preferably near Sumter Landing.

WATERFRONT INN at Lake Sumter Landing

The Waterfront Inn - The Villages

Very convenient to everything plus nice breakfast, lunch, dinner.

Great back veranda to sit on (lakeside) and front rockers as well.....

As senior indicated, The Waterfront Inn is adjacent to LSL - can't get any closer! The next closest place is Hampton Inn - on 466 just east of Buena Vista.......though it's not accessible by golf cart (if that's a factor for you).

There are 3 or 4 other hotels that are all adjacent to SS.

IF you don't mind being in Spanish Springs, we stayed at the Marriott a few times. They were great. Also a very nice breakfast included. Nice view in the front and right there where there is so much.
They give a discount for TV residents and also if you are there to "shop" for a home.

We have stayed several times at the Comfort Suites near Spanish Springs. The rates are very reasonable and the hotel is fairly new and golf cart accessible. Our rooms have always been very nice and you get a small living area in the room and a complimentary breakfast.

If you go on Hotwire.com and search, "The Villages", you will be able to find all those hotels at half the price. Do your research and save $$$

Default Stayed quite a bit before we bought our home....

The Marriott is very nice and the Comfort Suites (a little less in price) really make you feel at home. (in fact the sweet lady at the front desk always said "welcome home" when we got back from running around). Both are near Spanish Springs but if you rent a golf cart you can always drive to Sumter Landing.

Holiday Inn Express next to SS, very reasonable prices, hot breakfast, nice rooms, GC accessible. Wife and I stayed there last month and we will come back soon.
BTW skip & a hop from LSL.

I second the Holiday Inn Express. I stay there several times a year. Quite comfortable, and the best price/quality ratio in the area.

Golf cart parking - yes. Just park anywhere in the lot.

Golf cart rentals - no.

How about pet friendly hotels
I would like to come check out TV and be able to feel safe leaving my puppies in the room if we go out to eat.
It is hard to find a house by the week like that on a short notice.

I have stayed at all of the hotels in TV before my rentals have started. All are nice; The Waterfront Inn was the most expensive of the bunch. Thy Waterfront Inn at LSL is golf cart accessible, Marriott Towne Suites at SS, and Comfort Suites and Holiday Inn Express which are a couple of blocks from SS are also golf cart accessible. I don't think the Hampton Inn on 466 is golf cart accessible, but someone correct me on that if I am wrong.

You can rent golf carts by the week or the day if you check classified ad section of The Villages Daily Sun. As far as being pet friendly, I don't know which. if any, of these hotels are pet friendly, but if you check the hotel's web site, that information is usually available there.

Did they give you a monthly rate? We may need a hotel for 3 to 4 weeks before we are able to move into a home there.

Don't know when you are moving to TV, but for a monthly rental, have you checked The Villages 4 Rent, Rentals in The Villages or the furnished homes for rent in the classified ad section of The Villages Daily Sun
