Default VCDD Online Payments

Got my first bill for water sewer, etc. Saw I could pay online. Kicker is 1) they want to charge an extra 2.5%, 2) I can not set up for autopay. Every Utility I use in MD and DE lets one set up Autopay, many via automatic check debit. in Germany, it is mandatory. Since we do not want to have to be around all the time to find amount to send in, it makes long trips a problem. One would think that the company would like to get their money on-time.

Hmmmmm.......we're set up on auto pay. Comes right our of our checking account automatically each month. No surcharge.

From that page where you're seeing the info about paying online, click on "Payment Information" in the left side Quick Links.

Or..............just see "Auto Pay by Bank Draft" section on this link: http://www.districtgov.org/departmen...s/payment.aspx

I just pay them on line from my bank, I do not let them automatically take it out and it cost nothing.
