Hi Frank
Just had my 2007 par car in for rear differential service (recommended after 300 hours) and was told by repair guy that there was a noise in the motor and he called back and said there were "stuck brushes" in the motor and that I would need a new motor. (approx 1500 dollars). The cart was running fine and when I called the business I purchased it from he said that if the cart was still running that it was not stuck brushes and in most instances the brushes can be easily freed if that is the problem. My question is does "stuck brushes" usually mean a new motor and if the cart was running fine does it sound like 'stuck brushes' would be a problem. thanks doug |

Par Car motors are usually rebuilable, the brushes are replaced during rebuild.
Only if the armature is burnt out would the motor need full replacement. We stock the parts for rebuilds. |
